Recently an artist from Green Bay contacted me about doing a collaboration for the Give Art campaign. I began to think about how special the concept of a movement is. In an age when we spend so much time, money, blood, sweat and tears safeguarding our ideas…slapping copyrights on them, and making sure we have the proper patents; movement is a concept that stands apart. Common ideas, like how we should treat others and take care of them, supersede the need to make a fast buck. That’s why Give Art is special to me. I don’ t want to maintain exclusive control on the concept. I want to see it catch fire, and spread among people of  various skill sets, and backgrounds. Movement isn’t exclusive. Movement is contagious. Movement will cause the great changes of our time.
